Online Dictionary of Psychological Terms:
Concurrent-Articulation Task

Concurrent-articulation tast is a task used in many studies of working memory.

During this tast participants are required to repeat a phrase or word over and over out loud.

Concurrent articulation can be used to block use of subvocalization, and therefore can be used to study the function of subvocalization.
