Consistent Mapping
Consistent mapping is an experimental procedure in which the response required to each stimulus is held constant across a block of trials.
Thus, if a button-press is the appropriate response for, say, a 'T' viewed on the first trial, then this button-press will be the appropriate response whenever a 'T' appears.
Consistent mapping is often contrasted with varied mapping.
