Distributed Representation
Distributed representation is a mode of representing ideas or contents in which there is no one node representing the content, and no one place at which the content is stored.
Instead, the content is represented via a pattern of simultaneous activity across many nodes.
Those same nodes will also participate in other patterns, and so those same nodes will aslo be part of other distributed representations.
Distributed representation often gets contrasted with local representation.
