Incubation
Incubation is the second in a series of stages often hypothesized as crucial for creativity.
Incubation refers to (hypothesized) events that occur when one puts a probem being worked on out of one's conscious thoughts, but continues nonetheless to work on the problem unconsciously.
Many current psychologists are skeptical about this process, and propose alternative accounts for data ostensibly documenting incubation.
