Limbic System

The limbic system is a set of brain structures including:
  • the amygdala
  • hyppocampus
  • mammillariy bodies
  • parts of thalamus

    The limbic system is believed to be involved in the control of emotional behaviour and motivation, and to play a key role in learning and memory.
